Solar Heat, Zero Fossil: MNRE Funds Industrial Solar Up to ₹2 Crore

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) offers financial support covering up to 50% of project costs (capped at Rs two crore) for industries and startups implementing concentrating solar thermal systems for industrial heating. Designed to curb fossil-fuel consumption and drive toward India's 2070 net-zero goal, the initiative subsidizes pilot projects featuring thermal energy storage for continuous heating, aiming to prove technical and economic viability for widespread commercial deployment.
